Starbucks Reserve Card — Ecuador Loja

Inspired by the butterfly’s symbolism of hope, endurance and change, as well as the region where these beans are grown, this card represents the lush, colorful landscape and biodiverse Loja province of Ecuador. As climate change has become a larger threat to Southern Ecuador, specialty coffees from the area are becoming increasingly rare, and the ecosystems are becoming increasingly vulnerable. The butterflies on this card symbolize hope—by bringing more awareness to this special place and the challenges it faces, its longevity will be ensured.
